Hays Education are seeking an experienced Interim School Business Manager to join a school in Middlesbrough on a full-time temporary basis for approximately 9 weeks.This is an excellent opportunity for an established School Business Manager who can quickly integrate into a busy school environment and provide leadership across finance, administration, compliance, HR, and operational functions.
The Role
- Oversee the day-to-day business operations of the school.
- Support the Senior Leadership Team with financial planning and budget management.
- Ensure compliance with school policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
- Lead and support administrative and support staff.
- Manage procurement, contracts, and resource allocation.
- Provide operational leadership to ensure the smooth running of the school.
Previous experience as a School Business Manager is essential
Strong knowledge of school finance, administration, and compliance processes
Experience supporting school leadership teams
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and hit the ground running
Experience within a school environment is essential
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is compulsory
