Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Interim Finance Manager to lead our financial operations during a transitional period. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee financial management, ensure accurate financial accounting, and drive strategic financial planning. As the Interim Finance Manager, you will be instrumental in maintaining robust financial services, managing accounts payable processes, and implementing effective cost control measures. Your leadership will ensure the organisation’s financial stability and compliance while fostering a proactive and collaborative finance environment.
Duties
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations alongside a part qualified management accountant.
- Preparation of the monthly Management Accounts pack for the Finance Manager and senior management team to review, including insightful analysis and commentary.
- Resolving historic balance sheet reconciliation variances.
- Business partnering with department heads to communicate results, discuss variances and plan for the future with budgets and forecasts.
- Be a key part of the annual external audit and global tax processes and requirements. Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails to support internal controls and external audits.
- Seek opportunities across the finance team to learn about our processes, systems and reporting quality, challenging the status quo, and designing and implementing improvements and/or automation, working closely with the relevant finance leads of these areas.
- Coordinate provision of key KPIs and reporting from all areas of finance for visibility of the Senior Leadership Team in our Monthly Round Up.
- Assisting the Head of Finance with reporting and adhoc projects as required, supporting the wider finance team where necessary.
- Previous experience working in a senior management accounts role.
- Qualified or Part\-Qualifiied in ACCA, CIMA or similar, or qualified with relevant experience.
- Experience working in a multi\-currency environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, and pivot tables.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience handling high volumes of data.
- High level of accuracy with strong attention to detail.
- Experience identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Experience working in e\-commerce environments and/or with Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) providers.
- Experience implementing systems and/or automation of processes.
