Ecommerce & Content Marketing Executive
Ecommerce \& Content Marketing Executive
Please note that a portfolio or examples of previous creative work will be an important part of the application.
Location: Horley, Surrey \- Hybrid after initial onboarding
Salary: £30,000\-£36,000 depending on experience
Job type: Full\-time, permanent
Start date: Flexible, ideally as soon as reasonably possible
We're looking for a creative and ambitious Ecommerce \& Content Marketing Executive to join our growing ecommerce business.
We operate two established ecommerce brands, Cableties.co.uk in the UK and Kabelbinders.com across Europe, supplying cable management, electrical and related products to trade and consumer customers.
Following our continued growth and success, we're now looking to build more of our marketing capability in\-house. We want someone who can bring strong creative and content skills to the team, helping us produce more high\-quality customer\-facing work, develop our brands and support the next stage of our growth.
This is a hands\-on role with a strong focus on creative content production, but with a clear commercial purpose: To help us sell more, improve conversion and grow.
You'll work closely with our Digital Marketing Manager, who will provide direction, commercial context and support. What we're particularly looking for is someone who complements that with creative ability, enthusiasm and plenty of ideas.
What you'll be doing
- Creating graphics, product imagery and campaign assets
- Writing email, website, product and promotional copy
- Planning and building email marketing campaigns
- Developing creative concepts for product launches and promotions
- Creating and improving product, collection and landing\-page content
- Producing guides, articles, social content and other customer\-facing material
- Creating product photography, edited imagery and simple video content
- Helping develop the visual identity, personality and consistency of our brands
- Reviewing performance and learning which creative approaches generate the best results
Whatever the task, the objective is the same: Create better customer\-facing content that helps the business grow.
What we're looking for
We're looking for somebody with some existing marketing, content or creative experience who wants to develop into a well\-rounded ecommerce marketer.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in digital marketing, content, design or a similar creative marketing role
- Strong graphic design and image\-editing skills
- Confidence using professional creative tools such as Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator, or comparable software
- A good eye for layout, typography, imagery and visual hierarchy
- Strong written English and the ability to write engaging content for different purposes
- A basic understanding of SEO principles and writing content with search visibility in mind
- The ability to take an idea or brief and turn it into polished finished content
- Commercial curiosity and an interest in what makes customers engage and buy
- Plenty of initiative, enthusiasm and willingness to learn
Creativity and brand development
We want someone who does more than simply reproduce what we've done before.
You'll have the opportunity to help develop how our brands look, sound and communicate, bringing your own ideas to our websites, emails, imagery and campaigns.
Creativity matters, but not for its own sake. Better content, clearer communication and stronger presentation should ultimately help customers choose, buy and come back again.
Development and progression
We're deliberately recruiting at Executive level rather than expecting somebody to arrive knowing everything.
You'll receive guidance and support while gradually taking greater ownership of areas such as email marketing, creative campaigns and ecommerce content.
As your skills, responsibilities and commercial impact grow, we want your progression and reward to reflect that, with genuine scope to develop towards a Senior Ecommerce \& Content Marketing Executive position.
How we work
Our culture is friendly, informal and occasionally a little silly. We enjoy ourselves, organise regular team outings and don't believe work needs to feel overly corporate.
That said, we also work extremely hard. We're ambitious, move quickly and care about getting things finished properly. We're looking for someone who enjoys that balance: Someone who can have a laugh with the team while also taking real pride in their work and wanting to achieve tangible results.
Hybrid working
Once you're established in the role, the normal working pattern will typically be 2\-3 days per week in our Horley office.
During your initial onboarding and training period, you'll be office\-based five days per week so you can get up to speed quickly and become familiar with our products, systems and ways of working.
What we offer
- £30,000\-£36,000 salary depending on experience
- Hybrid working once established in the role
- Genuine opportunity for development and progression
- Broad exposure across ecommerce, creative and digital marketing
- Regular company and team outings
- Additional paid Christmas closure on top of your normal annual leave entitlement
- The opportunity to influence and help develop two established ecommerce brands
- Free on\-site parking
- Office within a short walk of Horley train station
- On\-site gym and shower facilities
Because creative ability is such an important part of this role, shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a short practical creative task after the first interview.
It will reflect the kind of work you'd actually be doing with us and will be designed to take a reasonable amount of time. We're interested in seeing how you think, create and interpret a brief.
If you're a creative marketer who enjoys making things, learning quickly, bringing ideas to the table and seeing your work contribute to real commercial growth, we'd love to hear from you.
