Lloyds Animal Feeds is one of the UK's leading animal nutrition businesses, supplying high\-quality feed products to farming customers across the country. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and organised Intake \& Despatch Coordinator to join our team at our Enstone manufacturing site.
This is a varied and fast\-paced role that sits at the heart of our operation, coordinating the intake of raw materials, despatching finished orders, and ensuring the smooth flow of information between Production, Transport and Customer Service teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Despatch customer orders using the company's ERP system.
- Book in incoming deliveries of raw materials and ingredients.
- Operate the site weighbridge, ensuring accurate recording of vehicle movements.
- Utilise the process control system to route incoming bulk materials to the correct storage silos.
- Sample incoming deliveries and carry out quality checks against required specifications.
- Test grain samples for moisture content and other quality parameters.
- Work closely with Customer Service, Transport and Production teams to ensure adequate raw material availability.
- Communicate any delivery issues or delays that may impact production plans.
- Liaise with external haulage companies regarding delivery schedules and arrival times.
- Chase hauliers for delivery updates and estimated arrival times (ETAs).
- Coordinate with the Transport Manager to arrange backloads of raw materials using the Lloyds transport fleet.
- Provide telephone support to the Customer Service team during busy periods, including taking orders and handling customer enquiries.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to deliveries, quality checks and stock movements.
- Support the wider site team with administrative and operational tasks as required.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast\-paced environment.
- Have excellent communication skills and be confident dealing with customers, drivers, haulage companies and internal departments.
- Be comfortable using computer systems and data entry software.
- Have strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem\-solving.
- Be capable of working independently while also contributing as part of a team.
- Have previous experience within logistics, transport, warehousing, manufacturing, feed milling, agriculture or a similar operational environment.
- Experience using ERP systems.
- Weighbridge operation experience.
- Knowledge of stock control and goods receipt processes.
- Understanding of grain quality testing or agricultural commodities.
- Experience within food, feed or manufacturing operations.
