Position Overview

• Job Title: Installation Engineer


• Location: Nairn, Scotland (IV12 5HX) – Requires travel across Scotland, the Western Isles, and Northern England


• Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum (Depending on experience)


• Employment Type: Permanent, Full\-time


• Reporting To: Installations Team Leader / Operations Manager

Job Summary

The primary purpose of this role is to undertake the high\-quality installation and servicing of a variety of water treatment plants and equipment. Working on projects ranging from small\-scale private domestic units to larger commercial facilities, you will ensure the reliable supply of potable water to our diverse client base.

Person Specification

*Experience \& Technical Qualifications*

• Industry Experience: Understanding and experience in understanding pumps, filters and control systems.


• Qualifications: Mechanical and/or electrical engineering qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City \& Guilds, or equivalent) are highly advantageous.


• Driving Licence: A full UK Driving Licence is mandatory. A Trailer Licence (BE category) is highly preferred.

• Operational Agility: Strong planning, organising, and logical problem\-solving skills with the ability to work methodically under pressure.


• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, supported by strong numeracy and literacy for technical report writing.


• Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional teamwork capabilities with a collaborative, client\-focused attitude when representing the company on\-site.

Engineering \& Technical Performance

Install and service submersible borehole pumps, booster pumps, holding tanks, specialist filters \& sterilisers.

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and water handling issues on\-site.

Complete all scheduled engineering and/or servicing works efficiently within required timescales

Assist with follow up tasks, emergency callouts, comprehensive job preparation \& drilling operations.

Health, Safety \& Compliance

Maintain strict compliance with all statutory Health \& Safety regulations at all times.

Conduct point of work risk assessments on\-site to ensure safe working conditions for yourself, the team and clients.

Correctly use and maintain all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and speciality tools.

Reporting \& Logistics

Produce and submit accurate and complete site visit reports promptly after each visit.

Please note:

Adapt to extensive regional travel, including overnight stays away from home across Scotland (inc Western Isles) and Northern England

Participate in weekend \& evening on call rota (approx. 4 weekends per year)
