Insolvency Manager / Assistant Manager – Court Work & Insolvency Appointments | Essex

I’m currently working with an established insolvency practice in Essex that is looking to strengthen its Court Work & Insolvency Appointments team, with opportunities available at both Assistant Manager and Manager level.

The team handles a varied portfolio of insolvency appointments, with a strong focus on personal insolvency and bankruptcies, alongside corporate appointments.

The role

• Manage and administer a portfolio of insolvency appointments from inception through to completion


• Primarily focused on bankruptcy appointments, with an approximate 70/30 split between personal and corporate insolvency


• Take responsibility for your own caseload, typically around 30 cases, increasing to approximately 50 during busier periods


• Work closely with colleagues across the wider insolvency team


• At Manager level, take responsibility for overseeing cases and supporting the development of more junior members of the team

What they’re looking for

• Insolvency experience within a practice environment


• Experience managing insolvency appointments and a good understanding of court work


• CPI or CII qualification required at Manager level


• The ability to manage a varied caseload independently


• Strong communication and organisational skills
