As an Industrialization Chemist \& Laboratory Manager (m/w/d), you will join our Fragrance Ingredients Industrialization Department in Vernier (Geneva). You will contribute to the development and industrialization of innovative, sustainable and competitive manufacturing processes for fragrance ingredients.
In this exciting role you will:
- Develop safe, sustainable and competitive manufacturing processes at laboratory scale, followed by scale\-up through pilot plant to production.
- Support production teams during the transfer and implementation of new processes in manufacturing plants.
- Propose, evaluate and implement green chemistry technologies such as catalysis, enzymatic reactions, flow chemistry and energy\-efficient processes across laboratory, pilot and industrial scales.
- Use digital tools and methodologies for data\-driven industrialization, including Process Analytical Technologies (PAT), simulations, Design of Experiment (DoE) and data mining.
- Be the reference expert for key fragrance ingredients, driving process excellence, cost efficiency and continuous improvement projects.
- Lead industrialization projects by building strong collaboration with internal stakeholders including Manufacturing, Research, Procurement, Regulatory Affairs and Quality, and external partners.
- Manage and mentor laboratory technicians, promoting a collaborative and productive work environment while ensuring the highest standards of laboratory EHS.
- Prepare comprehensive project reports and formal procedures for laboratory and pilot\-scale processes.
- Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry from EPFL, ETHZ or a similar institution
- Experimental and theoretical expertise in organic chemistry
- Solid expertise in industrial organic chemistry
- Experience in chemical reaction engineering is beneficial
- 5\+ years of experience in an industrial environment is beneficial
- Strong interpersonal and project management skills
- Team\-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach
- Experimental creativity, openness to innovation and ability to drive change
- Fluency in English; fluency in French is an asset, willingness to learn is mandatory.
