The Role

We are looking for an Industrial Designer / Design Engineer to join our team.

Ideally you will have 2\+ years experience in physical product design / industrial design / design engineering, although we are open to less experienced candidates if they are the right fit.

This is a broad multidisciplinary role that requires adaptability and a willingness to work across design, engineering and R\&D. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating between industrial design and technical development, with an interest in both creative thinking and hands\-on problem solving.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly capable, proactive and self\-driven, and excited by the process of exploring, prototyping and developing innovative products. You’ll work across a wide range of projects — from early\-stage research and concept generation through to testing, development and product delivery.

There is significant opportunity to take ownership of projects and help turn ideas into real products within a small and agile team. We are looking for someone with a strong builder mindset who enjoys autonomy, responsibility and rapidly testing, validating and improving ideas through hands\-on development.

What You’ll Be Doing

· Designing and developing innovative physical products and systems

· Working across R\&D, industrial design and product development

· Generating concepts through sketching, CAD and rapid prototyping

· Building and testing functional prototypes and proof\-of\-concepts

· Collaborating with engineers, manufacturers and external partners

· Exploring new technologies, materials and product opportunities

· Taking products from early concepts through to validated solutions

Skills \& Experience

· Product Design, Industrial Design or Product Design Engineering background

· Strong CAD capability (SolidWorks preferred)

· Communicative sketching, ideation and visual communication skills

· Good understanding of manufacturing processes and product development

· Hands\-on experience developing and iterating physical products

· Familiarity with prototyping consumer electronics using platforms such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi and similar systems

· Interest in emerging AI tools and evolving product development workflows

Pay: £30,000\.00\-£40,000\.00 per year
