Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Inclusion Teaching Assistant to support children with diverse learning needs within our educational setting. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, specialising in inclusive education to foster a supportive and engaging environment for all students. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with disabilities, including those with autism and other special educational needs. The position is paid and suitable for individuals passionate about working with children and committed to promoting equality and inclusion.

Duties

  • Assist classroom teachers in delivering tailored educational activities that meet individual student needs

  • Support children with autism, disabilities, or behavioural challenges to ensure they can participate fully in lessons

  • Provide one\-on\-one or small group support to children requiring additional assistance, including toddlers and early learners

  • Implement specialised strategies to promote communication skills and social development among pupils

  • Help create a positive, inclusive classroom environment by encouraging participation and fostering confidence

  • Support behavioural management strategies under the guidance of teaching staff

  • Assist with organising learning materials and resources suitable for children with diverse abilities

  • Monitor and record student progress, behaviour, and engagement levels to inform future planning
Experience
  • Prior experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is highly desirable

  • Experience in teaching or supporting children within an educational or childcare setting is preferred

  • Knowledge of special education practices and inclusive teaching methodologies is advantageous

  • Familiarity with toddler care and early childhood development will be considered a plus

  • Strong communication skills are essential for effectively engaging with children, colleagues, and parents

  • A compassionate approach combined with patience, adaptability, and organisational skills are vital for success in this role

Pay: £98\.50\-£125\.00 per day
