Import Co-ordinator
We are the UK division of a global logistics company headquartered in Italy, and due to continued growth, we are looking for a confident and driven individual to join and strengthen our freight forwarding team at our Thurrock depot.
This is a full\-time position within a small, close\-knit team and would suit someone who has already gained some experience within the logistics industry, particularly in a European operational function, and is now looking to take the next step in their career within a growing and supportive business. The salary is competitive DOE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaising with origin depots/suppliers across Europe
- Building strong working relations with Suppliers and Customers
- Monitoring shipments to ensure progress and keeping customers updated on shipping details
- Delivering exceptional customer service to encourage repeat business
- Cross\-selling services
- Ensuring customs formalities are completed and assisting customers with documentation
- Responding promptly and professionally to customer enquiries
- Completing general administrative duties, including data entry and updating systems.
- 1\-2years experience in logistics (Preferred)
You will be proactive, well organised, and have a keen eye for detail, with a genuine interest in supply chain and logistics operations. Strong communication skills and a customer\-focused approach are essential.
