Job Title: Hygiene Technician
Reporting to: Hygiene Manager
Location: Stubs Beck Lane, Cleckheaton, BD19
Role Brief
To ensure effective cleaning, sanitisation and high levels of housekeeping are maintained across the factory. In line with GMP, ISO and FDA standards (ISO22716, ISO9001 \& ISO14001\).
Key Responsibilities
· Drive hygiene \& awareness of the risk of Micro Biological contamination throughout the factory.
· Carry out effective cleaning \& sanitisation in line with company requirements. Liaising with Shift Managers to ensure all preparation is done in advance.
· Carry out deep cleans in line with company requirements, Liaising with Production Manager or Planning Manager to ensure processes are followed.
· Be accountable for responsible areas at all times, ensuring regular monitoring, cleaning and sanitisation.
· Always maintain clean, dry, and clear walkways throughout the factory.
· Organise priorities for Hygiene team members on a daily basis.
· Collect and catalogue samples for micro testing and submit relevant forms to external lab.
· Collate, catalogue and monitor micro results when returned from external lab.
· Help with the containment and cleaning of any spills.
· Ensure any cleaning or washout chemicals used are stored and handled safely, in line with COSHH regulations
· Carry out, organise, and monitor routine swabbing as required.
· Report any Health and safety related issues, damage, risks, bad practice, accidents or incidents identified while carrying out duties.
· Monitor and maintain all equipment required for carrying out the above, including floor cleaning machines.
· Any other duties as required by Health and Safety, Hygiene and Environmental Manager \& Production Manager.
· Drive, support and assist in the training of new Hygiene team members.
Essential skills
· Experience in fast moving consumer goods environment, preferably food, personal care, or pharmaceutical industry.
· Minimum level 2 English \& Maths.
· Basic IT skills (Microsoft office).
