Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join a new and exciting HVAC company based in Yeovil.

This position will predominantly be for the service, maintenance and breakdown of splits, VRVs, VRFs, Multi\-splits, and air handling equipment for residential and commercial clients. The role will also occasionally include small installations of splits and multi\-split systems.

The right person for this position will already have a strong working background as an air conditioning engineer within the service and maintenance sector. It would be an advantage if the candidate has some ventilation and controls experience, but it is not essential as full training will be given.

We do require the engineer to have a full UK driving licence and current F gas certification

Responsibilities

  • Planned preventative maintenance and fault\-finding on air\-conditioning and air handling systems

  • Remedial works such as compressor changes, PCB replacements, pump and component changes etc.

  • Diagnose issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify root causes of system failures

  • Repair or replace faulty components such as compressors, fans, valves, and electrical controls with precision and efficiency

  • Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams to facilitate accurate troubleshooting and repairs

  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards

  • Document service activities thoroughly, including detailed reports on repairs performed and parts used

  • Documentation such as work sheets, F\-gas and service reports

Skills
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of Air Conditioning systems

  • Relevant industry qualifications such as City and Guilds/NVQ (Must hold F\-Gas)

  • Full UK driving licence

  • CSCS certificate/card

  • Flexible approach to work

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • High standard of workmanship

  • Proactive and problem\-solving attitude with an eye for detail

Pay: £16\.00\-£24\.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40\.0 per week
