Here at PrepWorld, we are looking for a Human Resources Advisor to join our team on the night shift and on site. You will play a key role in supporting our operations by providing professional and proactive support, with the smooth and effective delivery of the HR function to colleagues on the night shift, and provide HR advice and support to the wider areas of the business.
Main Duties
Working with Head of HR to:
- Provide appropriate guidance and support to managers on HR issues such as employment law, recruitment and selection, performance management, employee relations and general/HR employment matters.
- Create, write and provide accurate management reports including the production of KOI’s and KPIs.
- To maintain employee data across our HRMIS.
- Employee welfare including return to work interviews.
- Support managers on ER issues including investigations, disciplinaries and grievances and to properly document the process.
- Support HR Manager to have full suite of job descriptions for all positions in the business.
- Support for ad hoc HR projects.
- Track all new starters and ensure reviews are completed in line with our procedures.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of HR function.
- Deliver inductions.
- As and when required conduct pre\-employment screening checks in line with the Home Office employment guidance.
- Support with attendance and family friendly policies and procedures including maternity, paternity, adoption, flexible working, parental leave etc.
- Support with keeping Policies and Procedure up to date and in line with legislation.
- Support managers in the application of employee relations policies and procedures including disciplinary, capability and grievance.
- Lead and support HR Initiatives.
- Day to day Employee Relations.
- Ensuring where necessary appropriate written notes of meetings are effectively taken.
- Ensure all Leavers receive Exit Interviews by arranging and completing them.
- Maintain working relationships and meet regularly with the labour providers. Advising and guiding them on company updates, labour issues, update on relevant company policies and procedures.
- Meet regularly with Agency Providers to review performance, employee behavioral issues and audits.
- Assist Department Heads and Managers with recruitment process to ensure the right quality of candidates are appointed into vacant posts.
Qualifications
- CIPD qualified – preferably L5
- Generalist HR Experience
- Strong organisational skills
- Good communication skills
- Experience with HR Systems CIPHR and MitreFinch (desirable)
