HSE Manager
Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be supporting a well-established and growing industrial business in the recruitment of a HSE Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HSE professional who enjoys being visible on the shop floor, working closely with operational teams and driving a proactive health, safety and environmental culture. You'll play a key role in supporting multiple sites, ensuring compliance with legislation and management systems, whilst helping to deliver continuous improvement across the business.

Key Responsibilities • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Promote and embed a positive safety culture, championing safe working practices and life-saving rules.
- Carry out site inspections, audits and compliance reviews across multiple operational locations.
- Assist managers with risk assessments, safe systems of work and method statements.
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, carrying out root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Monitor compliance with environmental legislation and company standards.
- Liaise with external bodies including the HSE, Environment Agency and Local Authorities where required.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents and corrective actions, producing reports and KPI data.
- Support hazardous material management, industrial hygiene programmes and employee exposure monitoring.
- Coordinate emergency response planning and evacuation procedures.
- Ensure waste management activities remain compliant with environmental legislation.
- Work closely with engineering and operational teams to ensure new equipment, plant and processes meet statutory requirements.
- Support the ongoing development of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
You'll ideally have:
- NEBOSH General Certificate (essential).
- A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in an Environmental, Health & Safety role.
- Experience within manufacturing, recycling, heavy engineering or another industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and environmental compliance.
- Experience conducting incident investigations, root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Working knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
- Experience engaging with external regulatory bodies, including the HSE and Environment Agency.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A practical, hands-on approach with the confidence to challenge unsafe behaviours and drive continuous improvement.
