Passionate about supporting children with additional needs? Trust Education is currently recruiting for a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Rotherham from September until December 2026.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and supportive learning environment.
The Role As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual support plans.
- Encourage pupils' confidence, independence and engagement in learning.
- Adapt activities and resources to meet individual learning needs.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
- Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
- Has previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school setting.
- Has a calm, patient and caring approach.
- Can build strong, positive relationships with pupils.
- Is confident supporting children with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, or SEMH.
- Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential with relevant experience).
