Based in Loughborough, our manufacturing facility handles everything in\-house — from raw material processing to welding, fabrication, painting, and full assembly of bespoke acoustic units. HSE Coordinator
Responsibilities:
- To coordinate and support the delivery of the company’s Environmental, Health \& Safety system across manufacturing and engineering operations.
- Promote a proactive safety culture, supports operational teams and drives continuous improvement to reduce risk and improve workplace performance.
- Support implementation and maintenance of the EHS management system.
- Assist with compliance against UK legislation and internal standards.
- Maintain records and evidence for audits and inspections.
- Monitor completion of corrective actions.
- Coordinate completion and review of, Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), COSHH Assessments, Manual Handling Assessments.
- Carry out routine/ random drug \& alcohol testing
- Carry out routine workplace inspections across production and engineering areas.
- Coordinate H\&S inductions for employees and contractors.
- Maintain training matrices and competency records.
- Deliver toolbox talks and safety communications.
- Deliver H\&S inductions for new employees.
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (working towards).
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering or industrial environments.
- Knowledge of UK H\&S and OSHA legislation.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Incident investigation capability.
- Good report writing and administration skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- IOSH Membership (desirable).
- Experience with ISO Accreditation.
- Experience with lifting operations and workshop environments.
