Senior HR Administrator

We are looking for an organised, proactive and highly professional Senior HR Administrator to join our growing HR team.

This is a varied role that sits at the heart of our people operations. You will provide high\-quality administrative and organisational support across the full employee lifecycle, helping the HR team deliver a responsive, consistent and professional service to colleagues and managers across WBR Group.

The role would suit an experienced administrator who has excellent attention to detail, enjoys improving processes and is looking to develop a career within HR. You will have the opportunity to gain broad experience across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll administration, benefits, HR reporting and strategic people projects.

What you’ll be doing

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing day\-to\-day administrative support across the HR function

  • Managing the HR inbox, resolving general queries and ensuring requests are followed through to completion

  • Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records in line with data protection and UK GDPR requirements

  • Coordinating recruitment activity, including interview arrangements and candidate communications

  • Supporting the onboarding of new employees and ensuring relevant documentation and system updates are completed

  • Coordinating employee lifecycle administration, including contractual changes, probation reviews, family leave, absence records and leaver documentation

  • Supporting employee relations matters by preparing correspondence, arranging meetings, taking notes and maintaining accurate case records

  • Assisting with payroll documentation, monthly changes and payroll queries

  • Maintaining HR systems, completing regular data checks and ensuring the integrity of employee information

  • Producing timely reports and management information, including the monthly HR dashboard for the Executive and Board

  • Supporting the administration of employee benefits and responding to general benefits queries

  • Coordinating communications to managers and employees

  • Supporting performance management, engagement surveys, learning and development programmes and other strategic HR projects

  • Reviewing and improving HR forms, guidance and administrative processes

  • Handling sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion

  • Recognising when a query or issue requires escalation to a more senior member of the HR team.
What we’re looking for

You will ideally have:

  • At least one year’s experience in an administrative role

  • Experience of using an HR information system and maintaining accurate employee data

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Confidence building effective working relationships across an organisation

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills

  • The ability to work accurately with minimal supervision

  • A high level of discretion and awareness of confidentiality and data protection requirements

  • A basic understanding of UK employment law and current HR practices

  • The judgement to recognise when guidance or escalation is required

  • A genuine interest in HR and a desire to contribute to the continued development of the function.
No formal HR qualification is required when you join us, but you should have an appetite to work towards a CIPD qualification. A CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in People Practice, or progress towards an equivalent qualification, would be desirable.

THIS JOB CAN BE LOCATED IN SALISBURY / BOLTON OR LECEISTER ON A HYBRID BASIS

Pay: Up to £28,000\.00 per year
