Factory Operative

Overview

Join our manufacturing team as a Factory Operative and become a vital part of the production process! As a Factory Operative, you will be hands\-on with assembly, equipment operation, and warehouse tasks, ensuring smooth daily operations. Responsibilities

These include but are not limited to:

• Handling and carrying glass.


• Building frames, motor mechanism and installation of blinds ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met


• Processing the glass down the glass line and sealing the unit.


• “Dropping in” of the glass to the frames for sealing.


• Operating production equipment in a safe manner.


• Preparing kit components for Slimline and Modular roof lights.


• Use of Saw to cut aluminum profiles.


• Using router to cut slots into aluminum profile bars


• Packaging / Wrapping Roof Lights


• Building kit boxes


• Wrapping with cellophane of roof lights in preparation for delivery.


• Assembling parts for vents to fit to Slimline and Traditional roof lights.


• Manage warehouse tasks such as loading, unloading, and organizing materials for production


• Follow safety protocols diligently and maintain a clean, organized workspace at all times


• Document work activities accurately and report any discrepancies or equipment malfunctions promptly

Skills

• Team player


• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines


• Problem solving and prioritising skills.


• Knowledge of factory machines and processes (not essential)


• Ability to work on own initiative to required standards


• Numerate and literate


• Ability to follow instructions

Hours

• 42\.5 hours (weekly) / Mon\-Fri 7:00\-16:00 with an unpaid 30\-minute lunch break and two paid 15\-minute breaks

Pay: From £13\.00 per hour
