HR & Personnel Administrator
Job Summary
ROLE PURPOSE
To provide administrative and operational support across the HR function for Liberty Group, ensuring employee records, people processes, onboarding, and administration are managed effectively whilst supporting employee welfare and apprentice engagement activities across the group.
The role will support the business to deliver a consistent people experience across all entities and provide additional support to Liberty Academy activities where required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
HR Administration
- Maintain employee personnel files and records
- Produce contracts, letters and HR documentation
- Manage onboarding and induction administration
- Maintain probation trackers
- Manage holiday and absence records
- Support payroll administration inputs
- Maintain training records and certification trackers
- Conduct right to work administration
- Update HR systems and databases
- Organise HR meetings and minute taking
- Act as first point of contact for HR queries
- Support employee welfare initiatives
- Assist with absence management administration
- Support return to work processes
- Coordinate wellbeing initiatives
- Escalate people concerns where required
- Maintain apprentice records and documentation
- Support academy administration
- Coordinate apprentice review meetings
- Track attendance and progression records
- Assist with apprentice welfare activities
- Liaise with colleges and training providers
- Support academy events and activities
- Ensure records remain GDPR compliant
- Maintain compliance trackers
- Support HR audits
- Produce monthly people reports
- Maintain document control systems
Essential
- Previous administration experience
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage confidential information
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- HR administration experience
- Construction industry experience
- Apprenticeship experience
- Knowledge of HR systems
- Understanding of employment processes
- CIPD qualification or working towards
