· Facilitate effective employee relations across the College
· Support the Principal with maintaining effective employee relations across the company
· Coach, educate, advise and support Line Managers in employee relations cases and people management matters
· Support on employee investigations and instruct managers to lead where necessary
Coordinate the recruitment and induction of new staff
· Coordinate the comprehensive recruitment process, including advertising roles, liaising with candidates, scheduling interviews, and completing pre\-employment checks
· Conduct interviews as part of a panel
· Manage the induction of new staff by liaising with the Teaching and Learning team, IT and Safeguarding departments to ensure all documentation, access, and equipment are in place.
· Log the successful completion of induction training for new teachers and issue certificates
· Update staff information on BrightHR, including start dates and leavers
· Issue identity badges and work with MIS to allocate work emails
Keep accurate records of all staff information on Bright HR
· Maintain staff records, including digital folders, contact details, contracts, and DBS status.
· Liaise with the Line Managers about missing documentation, reference concerns or DBS disclosures
· Update start and end dates and remove leavers on BrightHR
· Ensure full contracts are returned and correctly filed
· Track the completion of staff induction
· Send all new staff Safeguarding training and inform the Designated Safeguarding Leads of any current staff who require updated training.
· Support on certificates of sponsorship
Staff Support and Wellbeing
· Be a first point of contact for staff HR queries and provide clear, compassionate guidance.
· Coordinate the delivery of return to work meetings by line managers following staff absence.
· Signpost staff to appropriate internal or external support for wellbeing and mental health.
· Work with the Principal to monitor and promote a positive working environment.
Absence and Attendance
· Track and record staff absences, annual leave, and time off requests.
· Update attendance records in BrightHR.
· Support on emergency leave requests, ensuring communication with the Line Managers.
· Provide data to Line Managers and the Principal on absence trends for follow\-up.
Performance and Compliance
· Support the coordination of appraisals and professional development documentation.
· Lead the scheduling and coordination of management coaches, ensuring timely access for staff.
· Monitor CPD completion and Central Office training, track probation reviews, and support Line Managers in staff development processes.
· Assist in gathering and logging performance or conduct\-related concerns for investigation.
Administration and HR Communication
· Issue employment letters, contracts, and documentation.
· Notify relevant teams (e.g. Finance, IT, Facilities) of new starters, leavers or changes to contracts.
· Ensure all staff records and communications are confidential and comply with data protection laws.
Carry out general administrative tasks as required by the role
Job Type: Full\-time
Pay: £30,000\.00 per year
