Cronin Group, one of Ireland’s leading specialist business logistics and relocation companies, are now seeking to recruit an experienced HR Manager to support us to deliver our growth ambition through developing and implementing appropriate HR capability and processes throughout the business. This role will support an organisation of 56 employees across all functions of the business.

The role, reporting to the Commercial Director, will work closely with the Senior Management Team to evaluate the company's current needs from a HR perspective and prioritise accordingly to formulate a comprehensive HR plan. The role is a standalone position with responsibility for both strategic and operational delivery and the potential to expand the HR function as the organisation continues to grow.

The ideal candidate will be driven, agile and approachable, with excellent commercial acumen. They will be experienced in building and maintaining relationships with all levels of employee’s company wide. A background in the service/transport sector is preferred.

Key Duties \& Responsibilities

1\. HR Strategy \& Leadership

  • Partner with the senior leadership team to shape and deliver a forward\-looking HR strategy aligned to Cronin Group’s growth, operational, and sustainability objectives.

  • Act as a strategic advisor to leadership, ensuring people strategy directly supports revenue growth, operational efficiency, and service excellence.

  • Lead organisational design and change management initiatives to support scaling, new service lines, and continuous improvement.

  • Drive a high\-performance culture aligned with company values (Health \& Safety, Dignity \& Respect, Teamwork, Ambition, Do the Right Thing).

  • Develop and implement employee engagement, culture, and retention strategies across all divisions.

  • Contribute to business planning, including headcount strategy, workforce capability, and leadership pipeline development.

  • Champion ESG\-related people initiatives, including wellbeing, diversity, and sustainable workforce practices.
2\. Employee Relations \& Compliance
  • Provide expert guidance and leadership on all employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, and conflict resolution processes.

  • Ensure full compliance with Irish employment legislation and best practice HR standards.

  • Develop, review, and maintain HR policies and procedures in line with legal, regulatory, and ISO standards (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 alignment).

  • Lead absence management frameworks to minimise disruption to operations and improve workforce reliability.

  • Ensure compliance with Health \& Safety, Environmental Health, and regulatory requirements across all operational environments.

  • Manage employee wellbeing initiatives, including mental health, engagement, and workplace culture programmes.
3\. Talent \& Performance Management
  • Lead end\-to\-end talent lifecycle management including attraction, recruitment, onboarding, development, and retention.

  • Develop and implement structured performance management systems to drive accountability and continuous improvement.

  • Design and deliver management and employee development programmes to strengthen leadership capability across the business.

  • Oversee succession planning and workforce planning aligned to growth targets and project pipeline.

  • Build employer branding initiatives to position Cronin Group as an employer of choice within logistics and specialist services sectors.

  • Implement reward, recognition, and benefits frameworks that support retention and performance.

  • Support operational managers in building high\-performing, compliant, and engaged teams.
4\. Operations \& Reporting
  • Oversee day\-to\-day HR operations ensuring efficiency, consistency, and alignment with business needs.

  • Manage HR systems, data integrity, and reporting processes to support decision\-making.

  • Produce and present monthly and quarterly HR reports to senior management, including insights on KPIs such as absenteeism, utilisation, and engagement.

  • Track and analyse workforce metrics to identify trends and recommend operational improvements.

  • Manage mandatory training programmes and maintain accurate certification and compliance records.

  • Collaborate with Finance and Operations on payroll inputs, overtime tracking, and workforce cost management.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across HR processes, systems, and service delivery.

  • Undertake additional duties as required in line with evolving business needs.
Qualifications, Skills \& Experience Required
  • Degree in Human Resources or a related discipline.

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a HR Generalist role; experience in the services/logistics sector is an advantage.

  • Strong capability across all core HR disciplines.

  • Self\-motivated and ability to work on your own initiative.

  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing strategic people initiatives.

  • Proven ability to partner proactively with managers to progress the people agenda.

  • Strong knowledge of HR best practice with solid experience managing employee relations cases.

  • Highly self‑motivated with the ability to work independently across a broad HR remit.

  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.

  • High levels of discretion and sound judgement in handling confidential matters.

  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.

  • Solution‑focused approach with strong problem‑solving ability.

  • Excellent knowledge of employment legislation.

  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
Strong MS Office and general IT skills

Pay: €30,000\.00\-€36,000\.00 per year
