The Role.
We are looking for an experienced and hands\-on HR Manager to oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle across our business – and to ensure maximum employee productivity and welfare at all times.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, and working closely with the Finance Director, you will support all department heads with recruitment, employee relations, and HR processes; including elements of Health \& Safety. This is a varied and fast\-paced role suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership and driving improvements.
Key Responsibilities.
Employee Lifecycle \& HR Operations
- Manage the full employee lifecycle from recruitment through to (rare) exit
- Lead onboarding, employee inductions, and HR documentation
- Maintain and improve HR processes and systems
- Create and manage job adverts, shortlisting, and interview processes
- Support hiring managers in selecting and onboarding candidates
- Manage absence, disciplinary processes, grievances, and workplace disputes
- Provide guidance and support to managers on HR matters
- Ensure fair and consistent application of company policies
- Maintain and update HR policies in line with employment law
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and legal requirements
- Support performance reviews and employee development
- Identify training needs and coordinate development initiatives
- Take responsibility for health and safety across all office teams
- Work with our Head of Operations to support health and safety in our Distribution Centre
- Ensure processes and compliance are maintained to a high standard
- Manage/support the Head of House role (responsible for workplace culture and environment)
- Build strong relationships across the business
Requirements
- Proven experience in a generalist HR role (HR Manager or similar)
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law
- Experience handling employee relations including disciplinary and grievance processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload

Desirable
- CIPD qualification (or working towards)
