About the team

Our HR team looks after over 320 staff across a varied range of expert services. We play an important part in ensuring that Ofqual delivers on its corporate plan and in particular supporting the organisation in developing Ofqual as an expert regulator and inclusive employer. The role of HR Manager is key to this as well as playing a an important part in supporting the development of Ofqual’s next People Strategy.

Job description

This fantastic opportunity will allow the postholder to play a key role in managing the delivery of our HR operational services providing expert HR advice on matters such as payroll and pensions, employee relations and HR administrative tasks whilst ensuring key stakeholders are consulted and sighted on changes relating to HR policy and procedures. A key focus of this role over the course of the next twelve months will be supporting the review, of Ofqual’s suit of HR Policies in line with the Employment Rights Act 2025, and delivery of a trusted employee relations casework service to our managers.

This role would suit someone with a background in HR operations, pay and pensions, who is looking to broaden their HR experience to cover the full range of HR services.

We often have similar roles available at different grades. Ofqual works flexibly, with a hybrid office/home based working model. Employees will spend a minimum of two days per week working from our office in Coventry. As Coventry will be your base location expenses for travel to the office will not be paid.

Final panel interviews will be held in person. Further details will be provided at invite to interview stage.
