HR Generalist
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and people\-focused HR Generalist to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to support the full employee lifecycle and contribute to the delivery of an effective, compliant, and employee\-centred HR service.
The successful candidate will work closely with managers and employees across our Forth Valley business, providing expert advice and support on employee relations, recruitment, performance management, learning and development, and HR policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first\-line HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on a wide range of people matters.
- Support the management of recruitment activities, including advertising vacancies, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and onboarding new hires.
- Support people managers with employee relations matters such as disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and performance issues.
- Administer and maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
- Assist with the development, implementation, and review of HR policies and procedures.
- Support the coordination of employee learning and development initiatives within the HR field.
- Produce HR reports and metrics to support business decision\-making.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
- Contribute to employee engagement, wellbeing, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Support organisational change projects and continuous improvement activities within the HR function.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Essential
- Previous experience in a Human Resources Generalist or HR Advisor role.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
- Vast experience of handling employee relations cases.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Very high level of discretion and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HR information systems.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience working within a fast\-paced environment.
- Experience of the working within the transport industry.
- Experience of rolling out training to people managers guiding them on best practice.

- Based at Larbert however may require to travel to our other depots inn our network
