About The Role

An experienced HR professional operating at HR Business Partner / Senior Advisor level, with a strong track record of delivering pragmatic, commercially focused HR support. This role partners closely with teams to drive organisational performance, enhance the employee experience, and support sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

*HR Partnering \& Advisory Support*

  • Provide expert, commercially focused HR advice across the employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, internal policies, and best practice.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, supporting informed decision‑making that balances business needs, risk and people outcomes.

  • Partner with leaders to support:

+ Workforce planning, resourcing, and succession planning
+ Performance management, development and career progression
+ Reward and recognition
  • Collaborate with Recruitment and Learning \& Development teams to strengthen talent pipelines and organisational capability.

  • Contribute to HR initiatives aimed at improving engagement, retention, and organisational effectiveness.
*HR Operations \& Team Support*
  • Provide guidance and oversight to HR Officers, ensuring consistent, high quality service delivery.

  • Lead and support complex and sensitive employee matters, ensuring timely and appropriate resolution.

  • Drive continuous improvement across HR processes to enhance efficiency, compliance, and employee experience.
*Early Careers Programmes*
  • Support the end\-to\-end delivery of Early Careers programmes, including training contracts and vacation schemes.

  • Oversee seat rotations, reviews and qualification pathways.

  • Enhance engagement, development and retention within early talent cohorts.
*Employee Relations \& Policy*
  • Act as a key advisor on employee relations matters, supporting managers through to resolution.

  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies in line with employment legislation and company values.

  • Support the development and maintenance of HR policies, procedures, and frameworks.
*Engagement, Wellbeing \& Inclusion*
  • Support initiatives to improve employee engagement, retention, and culture.

  • Champion wellbeing and equality, diversity \& inclusion (EDI), embedding inclusive practices across all HR activities.

  • Contribute to firm\-wide programmes aligned to culture, social value, and inclusion priorities.
*Insights \& People Data*
  • Use HR data and metrics to identify trends, inform decision\-making, and mitigate risk.

  • Analyse employee feedback and provide data\-driven recommendations to improve the employee experience.
Skills, Experience \& Qualifications
  • Degree educated and CIPD qualified (or equivalent professional experience)

  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment

  • Strong experience across the full HR lifecycle, including complex employee relations and organisational change

  • Excellent working knowledge of UK employment legislation

  • Experience operating in a fast\-paced, evolving environment

  • Commercially astute, with the ability to balance business priorities, risk, and people considerations

  • Proactive and hands\-on, with strong ownership and delivery focus

  • Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively

  • Resilient, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement

  • Strong communication and influencing skills at all levels

  • Demonstrates sound judgement, discretion, and professionalism

  • Leads by example, role\-modelling firm values and maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality.
