HR Administrative Assistant

The Koinonia Federation is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly organised HR Administrative Assistant to join our HR team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing an efficient and effective HR service and who enjoys working in a busy environment where no two days are the same.
The successful candidate will provide administrative support across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, probation, performance management, sickness absence and maintaining accurate employee records. The role will work closely with the HR team, schools and hiring managers to ensure that our HR processes run smoothly and efficiently.
The role requires someone who has excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and complete confidentiality.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the recruitment process from advertising through to onboarding.
- Liaising with schools and placing adverts for vacancies.
- Preparing job packs for advertised roles.
- Ensuring hiring managers are kept updated on applications.
- Organising school tours for prospective candidates.
- Collecting references and documentation required for new starters.
- Supporting the HR team with the organisation of interviews.
- Collecting and maintaining performance management documentation.
- Monitoring and managing probationary paperwork.
- Ensuring employee files and records are accurate and up to date.
- Leading on sickness absence monitoring and processing sickness data.
- Providing administrative support for HR casework, file management and record keeping.
- Undertaking other duties appropriate to the grade and nature of the role.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Good ICT skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
- A strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
- Previous experience of working in an HR or administrative environment would be advantageous, but we are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate the skills, professionalism and commitment needed to provide an excellent HR service.

Pay: £15,083\.00\-£15,742\.00 per year
