Role Overview
To ensure the highest standard of guest care and welcome is demonstrated at all times.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Ensure the team provides an effective and efficient service at all times, in line with company procedures
- Ensure efficient and effective communication between departments and reception, and that effective handovers between shifts take place
- Ensure the team is aware of hotel availability and uses every opportunity to maximise room sales
- Be fully conversant with, and able to operate, the hotel front office system
- Ensure all reception duties are carried out to a high standard in accordance with hotel and company procedures
- Ensure that quarterly targets set by your Line Manager are adhered to
- Ensure the team checks billing instructions and guest credit for accuracy, and deals with cash and credit transactions in accordance with hotel and company procedures
- Complete any reasonable duties requested by the Line Manager/General Manager
- Take part in any training and development activities as required
- Inspect the front and back reception areas for cleanliness
- Be fully conversant with, and adhere to, Hotel Fire Procedures, Health and Safety Policy, and all other legal requirements
- Ensure total confidentiality is observed in the execution of your duties
