Job Title: House Manager
Location: Hy Hotel Apartments
Reports To: General Manager
Job Summary
The House Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Hy Hotel Apartments, ensuring exceptional guest experience, high operational standards, and efficient coordination between departments. This role combines operational management, guest services, administration, staff coordination, and property standards oversight.
Key Responsibilities Daily Operations Management
- Oversee the daily operations of the hotel and serviced apartments
- Ensure smooth coordination between reception, housekeeping, maintenance, and external contractors
- Conduct staff handovers and address upcoming operational issues
- Use initiative to proactively fulfil guest needs and resolve concerns
- Conduct regular pool water testing and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain accurate pool testing and dosing logs
- Perform periodic chemical dosing at scheduled intervals
- Ensure sauna and steam room facilities meet hygiene, safety, and operational standards
- Answer and manage all incoming calls and emails professionally
- Conduct pre\-arrival guest calls and confirmations
- Manage OTA platforms (Booking.com, Airbnb, etc.), including guest messages and updates
- Process advance payments and ensure accurate reservations
- Ensure guests are allocated correct room types and upsell where possible
- Build and maintain strong relationships with repeat guests and local businesses
- Handle guest requests efficiently and professionally
- Monitor cleanliness standards across the entire property
- Inspect apartments after housekeeping service to ensure quality standards
- Ensure guest requests and upsells are delivered within apartments
- Maintain a safe and secure environment throughout the hotel and apartments
- Liaise with maintenance teams regarding apartment conditions
- Schedule painting, repairs, and preventative maintenance as required
- Coordinate with maintenance and contracting teams to uphold Hy Hotel standards
- Identify maintenance issues and ensure timely resolution
- Conduct regular property inspections to prevent operational disruptions
- Ensure food safety and hygiene procedures are followed at all times
- Adhere to health and safety regulations across all hotel facilities
- Maintain accurate logs and compliance documentation
- Previous experience in hotel operations, house management, or hospitality management
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and guest service skills
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Strong attention to detail and problem\-solving skills
- Knowledge of OTA platforms and hotel reservation systems preferred
Pay: £13\.00 per hour
