Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance operations within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities and a solid background in both electrical and mechanical systems. This role requires a proactive approach to managing maintenance tasks, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for supervising a team of maintenance technicians, coordinating projects, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations.
Duties
- Manage and oversee all maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance of machinery and equipment.
- Supervise and lead a team of maintenance personnel, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain and troubleshoot logic controllers and other electrical systems to minimise downtime.
- Review schematics to understand system layouts and facilitate effective repairs or upgrades.
- Coordinate project management efforts for maintenance\-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the maintenance department.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory management.
- Proven experience in a maintenance management role with strong electrical and mechanical knowledge.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics related to machinery and systems.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong leadership qualities with experience supervising teams in a fast\-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- A logical approach to problem\-solving with a focus on maintaining high standards of quality in work performed.
- A proactive attitude towards continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.
Job Type: Full\-time
Pay: £37,000\.00\-£39,000\.00 per year
