Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of hotel accounting, including preparing and analyzing financial statements, reports, budgets, and forecasts to support operational goals.

  • Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments while maintaining strong vendor/client relationships.

  • Utilize Uniform Sytem of Accounts for hotels to record, reconcile, and report financial transactions efficiently.

  • Monitor and improve financial management practices across departments to optimize resource allocation and cost control.

  • Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, fostering professional development and ensuring adherence to accounting standards.

  • Conduct regular audits of financial records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

  • Collaborate with hotel management to develop financial strategies that enhance profitability and operational efficiency.

  • Prepare and manage monthly payroll for the hotel.
Qualifications
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred but not mandatory

  • Proven experience in hospitality accounting (Uniform Sytem of Accounts for Hotels)

  • Knowledge of Food and Beverage costing and Inventory Management

  • In\-depth knowledge of financial management principles including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger accounting.

  • Experience with financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance within the hospitality industry.

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to prepare and interpret complex financial data accurately.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem\-solving.
