Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of hotel accounting, including preparing and analyzing financial statements, reports, budgets, and forecasts to support operational goals.
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments while maintaining strong vendor/client relationships.
- Utilize Uniform Sytem of Accounts for hotels to record, reconcile, and report financial transactions efficiently.
- Monitor and improve financial management practices across departments to optimize resource allocation and cost control.
- Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, fostering professional development and ensuring adherence to accounting standards.
- Conduct regular audits of financial records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Collaborate with hotel management to develop financial strategies that enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
- Prepare and manage monthly payroll for the hotel.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred but not mandatory
- Proven experience in hospitality accounting (Uniform Sytem of Accounts for Hotels)
- Knowledge of Food and Beverage costing and Inventory Management
- In\-depth knowledge of financial management principles including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger accounting.
- Experience with financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance within the hospitality industry.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to prepare and interpret complex financial data accurately.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem\-solving.
