Working Hours: 34 hours.
Monday 9\.5hrs, Thursday 9\.5hrs, Friday 9\.5hrs, Saturday to be fixed at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital 5\.5hrs
About the Role:
Rowlands Pharmacy is seeking a talented and experienced Relief Pharmacist to support our hospital pharmacy services across Region 10\. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about delivering high quality patient care.
As a Relief Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in ensuring continuity of high quality pharmacy services across multiple hospital locations within the region. Covering planned leave, absences, and periods of high demand, you will provide essential support to maintain safe, efficient, and patient focused care at all times. This flexibility is crucial to Rowlands Pharmacy, enabling us to consistently deliver outstanding healthcare services, uphold our professional standards, and meet the needs of both patients and healthcare partners without disruption. Your adaptability and expertise will make a direct impact on patient outcomes and the overall success of our pharmacy operations.

- Provide expert advice, counselling, and support to patients on medication use and health concerns
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals (including doctors, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams) to optimise patient outcomes
- Conduct medication reviews and support safe, effective medicines management
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure effective stock and inventory control
- Deliver immunisation services (where applicable)
- Provide guidance on over\-the\-counter medicines and general healthcare
- Contribute to health promotion and public health initiatives
- Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Proven experience in a hospital pharmacy setting
- Adaptable and willing to travel
- Strong commitment to patient safety and high quality care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent clinical knowledge and awareness of current healthcare trends
