Home Care Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high\-quality care to residents in a home care setting. You will assist with daily living activities, ensuring that each individual receives the support they need to maintain their dignity and independence. Strong communication skills in English are essential, as you will be required to engage effectively with residents, families, and colleagues. No Sponsorship( COS)

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.


• Support individuals with mobility and physical activities as needed.


• Help with meal preparation and feeding where necessary.


• Maintain accurate records of care plans and daily activities for each resident.


• Communicate effectively with residents to understand their needs and preferences.


• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery.


• Drive residents to appointments or outings as required, ensuring their safety during transport.


• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to home care and IT systems used for record keeping.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a home care or similar environment is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.


• A valid driving licence and own care essential for home visits.


• Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with residents and staff.


• Ability to understand and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.


• Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with residents and their families.


• Basic IT skills for maintaining electronic records and documentation.


• A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others live comfortably and happily.
