We are looking for Home Care Assistants to join our friendly team, supporting people to live safely and comfortably in their own homes. This rewarding role offers flexible working opportunities, ongoing support and opportunities for career development.
No previous care experience is required. We provide full training and support to help you develop your skills and confidence. Applications from experienced care workers are also welcome.
What you will do
- Provide compassionate, person\-centred care in line with each individual’s care plan, preferences and wishes.
- Support with personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting, while respecting privacy and dignity.
- Assist with meal preparation and encourage appropriate food and fluid intake.
- Support people with their medicines in accordance with their care plans, your training and assessed competence.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using equipment where required and following training and care plans.
- Offer companionship and support people to maintain their independence, interests and community connections.
- Assist with agreed household tasks, shopping and appointments.
- Keep accurate, timely care records using our digital care system.
- Report changes in wellbeing, concerns or incidents promptly to the appropriate person.
- Communicate respectfully with the people you support, their families and colleagues.
- A caring, respectful and patient approach.
- Reliability, punctuality and trustworthiness.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to work independently, follow care plans and seek guidance when needed.
- A full driving licence valid in the UK.
- Basic smartphone or IT skills, with willingness to learn our digital care system.
- Willingness to complete induction, the Care Certificate where appropriate, and ongoing training.
- Full induction and training.
