The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our committed team. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and other professionals to support high\-quality learning experiences for all pupils, delivering small\-group and individual interventions, and leading lessons when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning across the school, adapting approaches to meet a diverse range of needs.
- Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher.
- Lead small group or one\-to\-one sessions to reinforce learning and develop key skills.
- Provide practical and emotional support to pupils to promote their independence, confidence, and well being.
- Assist with assessment, recording, and reporting on pupil's progress.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of personalised learning programmes and EHCP targets.
- Support the safeguarding, health, and safety of all pupils at all times.
You will be:
- A qualified and experienced HLTA or with relevant Level 3\+ qualification (HLTA status desirable).
- Passionate about supporting children and young people with SEN to achieve their best.
- Skilled in using a range of communication and behavioural strategies.
- Calm, patient, and resilient, with a nurturing and positive approach.
- Able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledgeable about inclusive practices and current SEN frameworks.
