Here at Brownhills Ormiston Academy, we are looking for an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support and enable students to achieve across the 11\-16 age range. You will provide support and tuition to students individually or in small groups who require additional help to raise attainment across all subject areas.

As part of the SEND team, you will work with others to prepare for, and support students during lessons and learning activities.

You will also lead on intervention programmes to support vulnerable learners. Depending on the needs of the students you may be required to support with physical needs.

The role will be varied and busy, as daily responsibilities may change depending on the needs of the students.

About you

We are looking for a well organised, reliable, trustworthy and enthusiastic individual who has a proven track record of working effectively with children/young people.

You will demonstrate a strong understanding of special education needs and ways to meet the needs of all pupils you are working with through experience of working with young people. You will possess the motivation required to work with children, resilience in dealing with challenging behaviours, and possess the ability to form and maintain appropriate supportive relationships.

We are looking for someone who has a level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or has relevant experience, together with a minimum of GCSE Maths, English \& Science A\*\-C or equivalent.
