Higher Level Teaching Assistant

To start as soon as possible – fixed term until 31st August 2027

30 hours per week term time only plus 2 Inset days (flexibility in working hours required)

Grade 6 \- £32,578 to £35,570 (£22,630 to £24,708 pro\-rata)

We are seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teacher Assistant to provide weekly PPA and Management Cover across school. High View Primary is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated practitioner to join our friendly, vibrant and dedicated team. The successful candidate will be covering whole class teaching, groups and individual pupils.

We are seeking to appoint a HLTA to deliver aspects of the school’s curriculum, both timetabled and extra\-curricular. The successful candidate will be expected to teach and support teaching and learning in other curriculum areas, across the school, as required as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant.

The successful candidate will be required to work throughout school with children of differing abilities and ages (Nursery – Year 6\).

We are seeking to appoint a flexible team player who is able to work with all members of the school’s community across High View Primary Learning Centre. They will need to be well motivated, tenacious and be confident enough to use their own initiative. In addition, they must have a firm but fair manner and a genuine desire to support the individual development of the children with whom they work. They will be expected to uphold all the school policies and procedures, paying particular attention to the positive behaviour and reward strategies. The successful candidate will be given the support of a caring school team. Weekly preparation time will also be given.

The posts require a HLTA qualification.
