HGV Tyre Fitter

The Role

Based in our Dublin HGV Maintenance Depot, you will be responsible for maintaining the tyre condition across our fleet and ensuring any issues are identified and dealt with promptly.Your key responsibilities will include:

• Stripping \& building up wheels/tyres for tractor units \& trailers.


• Carrying out daily tyre checks throughout the yard.


• Identifying worn, damaged or unsafe tyres and reporting any issues.


• Carrying out tyre repairs and maintenance where required.


• Re\-cutting tyres where appropriate and within safety guidelines.


• Checking tyre pressures and maintaining correct inflation levels.


• Ensuring all tyre\-related work is completed to a high standard.


• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area.


• Working closely with the workshop and planning teams to minimise vehicle downtime.


• Keeping accurate records of tyre replacements, repairs and inspections.


• Working independently and using your own initiative to identify and address issues before they become a problem.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous HGV tyre fitting experience.


• Has a good understanding of commercial vehicle tyres and tyre safety.


• Is confident identifying worn, damaged or defective tyres.


• Has experience with tyre re\-cutting.


• Can work effectively on their own initiative with minimal supervision.


• Has a strong attention to detail and takes pride in their work.


• Has a good understanding of health and safety requirements.


• Is reliable, organised and able to work as part of a wider workshop team.


• Holds a full driving licence

Working Hours

• 5 days per week


• Monday to Friday


• Saturday work may be required depending on operational requirements.
