HGV Class 2 Driver/Loader/Labourer
Job Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Driver/Loader/Labourer with CISRS/CSCS \- Preferably but not essential to join our team.
MUST be able to get to our Depot by 6am in Waltham Abbey, Essex.
This role involves the safe and efficient delivery of goods, primarily utilising flatbed lorries, with responsibilities including loading and unloading Scaffolding. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience in commercial driving, and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards. This position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic logistics environment, contributing to the timely delivery of products across various locations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a flatbed HGV Class 2 vehicle in compliance with all road safety and transportation regulations
- Load and unload goods efficiently, ensuring correct handling and securing of cargo on the flatbed
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Plan delivery routes effectively to meet schedule requirements
- Assist with the loading process, ensuring proper placement and stability of items during transit
- Maintain accurate documentation for deliveries, including delivery notes and logs
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with delivery driver experience involving flatbeds
- Knowledge of safe loading techniques for flatbed cargo
- Ability to operate vehicles safely over long distances and in various weather conditions
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude towards customers and colleagues
- Physical fitness to handle loading tasks and lift cargo when necessary
Pay: £180\.00\-£200\.00 per day
