Care Worker

Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide high\-quality support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments.

The ideal candidate will be committed to promoting independence, dignity, and well\-being among clients of all ages, with experience in caring for those with dementia, Alzheimer's, or requiring hospice care. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through attentive and respectful caregiving.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised patient care, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support


• Administer medication following prescribed instructions and maintain accurate records


• Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs, ensuring dietary requirements are met


• Assist with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment


• Manage behaviour effectively, especially in clients with dementia or behavioural challenges


• Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well\-being


• Support clients with mobility and transfer tasks, including heavy lifting when necessary


• Drive clients safely to appointments or outings as required


• Respond promptly to emergency situations using first aid skills when needed


• Document care provided accurately in compliance with organisational policies

Requirements

• Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or home care is highly desirable


• Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care practices


• Certification or training in first aid is preferred


• Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility needs


• Valid driving licence for transportation duties


• Excellent communication skills and compassionate nature


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast\-paced environment


• Flexibility to work shifts that may include evenings or weekends if required


• Basic cooking skills for meal preparation and nutritional support


• Experience in behaviour management and medication administration is advantageous

We are looking for workers who live local to either Basingstoke, Hampshire or Waltham Abbey, Essex EN9 area.

Job Types: Full\-time, Part\-time

Pay: £12\.80\-£15\.00 per hour
