HGV Class 2 Driver
We are currently looking to employ an enthusiastic HGV/LGV Class 2 delivery driver for our busy Worcester Branch. Although Hiab experience is preferable for the role it’s not essential as training is available to the right candidate.
This is a full time position but part time applications will be considered.
The successful candidate will be operating a heavy goods dropside vehicle fitted with a remote control crane \& will be delivering building materials locally and throughout the surrounding area.

Main purpose:
- To drive a lorry to deliver goods, collect stock and assist in the yard when required.
- Always drive in a safe and lawful manner.
- Deliver goods and collect stock correctly and in good condition.
- Check the vehicle daily and fill in defect report sheets as requested by the Transport Manager.
- Complete, use and keep tachograph and charts as requested by law.
- General overview use of the grab crane.
- Assist Yard Operatives with loading and unloading of vehicles.
- Check loads are correct and secure before leaving the yard.
- Clean vehicles on a regular basis.
- Assist with yard duties when driving is not required.
- Any other reasonable management request.
The successful candidate must have the following:
- Possession of a clean LGV driver's licence
- Lorry\-mounted grab crane certificate
- Experience in lorry driving
- Knowledge of the local area
- Detail conscious
- Well organised with a methodical way of working.
- Able to meet physical loading, driving and delivery requirements.
- Good interpersonal skills
- Able to demonstrate knowledge of general building, hardware, timber products and their application (desirable)
