Optical Advisor

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and customer\-focused Optical Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting customers with their optical needs, providing expert advice on eyewear and lenses, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Previous experience is advantageous but not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting suitable eyewear based on their preferences and prescriptions


• Provide expert advice on lens options, frame styles, and colour choices to enhance customer satisfaction


• Conduct basic eye health assessments and explain optical procedures to clients


• Maintain accurate records of customer prescriptions and preferences


• Ensure the optical display area is tidy, organised, and visually appealing at all times


• Adjust / fit spectacles to patients \& advise on how to care for them


• Assist with contact lens tasks including teaching patients how to insert \& remove them


• Deliver exceptional customer service to foster long\-term relationships with clients

Experience

• Being a good communicator that cares about patient needs truly adds to your job satisfaction


• Experience working in a retail or customer service environment is beneficial


• A proactive approach with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
