Class 1 (C\+E) HIAB Operator – Specialist Transport

AQ Logistics is a well\-established, family\-run specialist transport company seeking an experienced and professional Class 1 (C\+E) HIAB Operator to join our existing experienced team.

As a FORS Gold accredited operator, we run a modern, highly specified fleet of 20 lorry\-mounted cranes from our depot conveniently located adjacent to the A1 between Ripon and Thirsk. We operate throughout the UK and Ireland, with occasional projects into mainland Europe, delivering specialist transport solutions across sectors including rail and communications infrastructure, construction, and renewable energy.

The Role

• Operating Class 1 (C\+E) vehicles with lorry\-mounted cranes (HIAB)


• Nationwide work with an average of 4–5 nights out per week


• Delivering Abnormal Loads using Step frames, Extenders and steering trailers.


• Regular weekend \+ nightshift work available (overtime paid)


• Representing the company in a professional and presentable manner at all times


• Working alongside long established customers with on site installations

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (C\+E) HGV licence


• Minimum 2 years’ UK HGV driving experience


• Valid Lorry Loader (HIAB) qualification and proven experience


• Professional attitude with pride in vehicle care and customer service


• Flexible approach to working hours, including nights \+ weekends


• Abnormal Load experience using Step frames, Extenders and steering trailers.


• Rear steer Extendable trailer experience would be an advantage
