HGV Class 1 Driver - Furniture Logistics

Full Time \| Permanent \| Monday to Friday

Grays Transport is a well\-established logistics company specialising in furniture distribution throughout the UK. We are looking for a professional, reliable and customer\-focused Class 1 Driver to join our team on a full\-time, permanent basis.

This is a varied role that combines nationwide deliveries with physical, hands\-on work and excellent customer service.

What You'll Be Doing

• Nationwide multi\-drop deliveries throughout the UK.


• Loading, securing and unloading furniture products safely.


• Completing vehicle checks and defect reporting.


• Maintaining delivery paperwork and electronic PODs.


• Communicating with our transport team regarding delivery updates.


• Delivering to retailers, warehouses and distribution centres.


• Working in line with Driver Hours, Working Time and company procedures.


• Representing Grays Transport professionally at all times.

About The Role

This is an active driving role and drivers should be comfortable with manual handling as part of their daily duties.

Our Class 1 operation focuses on deliveries to commercial premises, retailers and distribution centres. This is not a residential home delivery role.

The work is varied, and no two days are the same. Drivers are trusted to manage their day professionally whilst maintaining the high service standards that Grays Transport is known for.

Frequent paid nights out form part of the role, and start times will vary depending on customer requirements and routes.

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class 1 (Category C\+E) Licence.


• Valid Driver CPC Qualification.


• Digital Tachograph Card.


• Previous Class 1 driving experience.


• Good communication skills.


• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.


• Comfortable working in an active role that includes manual handling.


• Flexible approach to working hours and nights out.


• Reliable, professional and safety\-conscious.
