Job Summary
We are a small family owned residential plumbing and heating business. We pride ourselves on repeat business and great customer service.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Heating Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating systems and will be willing and able to turn their hand to a range of plumbing duties. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, practical experience with various tools, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The ideal applicant will possess relevant technical skills and a proactive approach to problem\-solving, ensuring high standards of safety and quality in all tasks undertaken. Reliability and strong customer service skills are a must together with the ability to communicate clearly and respectfully.

Duties

• Install, service, and repair heating systems including boilers, radiators, underfloor heating, and associated pipework


• Plumbing service and repair work


• Boiler fault finding and repair.


• Perform plumbing and carpentry tasks as required for system installation or repairs


• Utilise hand tools, power tools, and assemble equipment safely and efficiently


• Maintain detailed records of work completed and parts used updating workflow systems


• Communicate well with customers to explain system issues and recommend appropriate solutions


• Ensure all work complies with current safety standards and building regulations

Experience

• Gas Safe qualified


• Minimum of 5 years experience as a Gas Heating Engineer


• Competent in fault finding, plumbing, carpentry, and the use of hand tools and power tools


• Mechanical knowledge related to heating systems, boilers, and pipework installation


• Experience in a wide range of plumbing tasks


• Good customer service approach and strong communication skills are essential
