Heating Engineer - Service & Repair (4 day week)

Are you a driven, ambitious experienced service engineer who takes pride in getting it right first time, and would trade longer days for a 3\-day weekend, every week?

We're recruiting engineers on a 4\-day week: four days of 9am to 8pm, and you choose which day you take off. Want Fridays for a long weekend, Mondays to dodge the rush, or a Wednesday to break the week up and be there for the school run?

We can offer it because of how we work. We're not a volume business, and we don't expect our team to complete eight to ten jobs a day to make a profit. We're a market\-leading business with over 2,000 five\-star reviews, specialising in private domestic heating system maintenance, service and installation. We focus on providing a quality service and take a planned, preventative approach that allows us to get it right first time, every time. Your days are planned in advance, meaning you can focus on delivering great service rather than firefighting your way through an eleven\-hour shift. Your final appointment will generally be scheduled for around 6:30–7:00pm.

Experience is important for this role, but attitude is equally valuable. We’re looking for someone who is reliable, positive, professional, and committed to delivering a high standard of work and customer service.

You'll have a fully stocked vehicle, an experienced warehouse team, and the day\-to\-day support of an experienced Service Manager and dedicated office team handling bookings, parts and admin, so you can focus on the job in hand. There's no 24/7 callout to worry about, and all your work will be located within 25 miles of our offices, so you're not adding an hour on the motorway to the end of a long day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Boiler, cylinder, and heating system maintenance


• Heating system upgrades


• Servicing and landlord certification


• Basic plumbing repairs


• Heat pump service and maintenance (full training provided)


• Own the outcome \- getting every job right first time and providing exceptional customer service before, during and after every visit

• At least three years of post\-qualification service/repair experience is essential


• Knowledge of S and Y plan heating wiring


• G3 experience is preferred but not essential


• OFTEC, LPG and heat pump experience is preferred but not essential \- full training will be provided


• The stamina and self\-discipline to hold your standards at 7pm as well as 10am


• A driven, ambitious mindset with a genuine love of solving problems

• Great communication skills, with the ability to be open, honest and approachable with every customer
