Healthcare assistant/support worker

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant/Support Worker to join our team. This role involves providing high\-quality care and support to individuals in care homes or home care settings. The successful candidate will play a vital part in enhancing the wellbeing and independence of those they support, ensuring a safe and respectful environment. Prior experience is beneficial but not essential, as training will be provided to develop your skills further.

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with daily activities such as personal care, mobility, and medication administration


• Supporting individuals in maintaining their independence and dignity


• Following personalised care plans to meet each individual's specific needs


• Providing companionship and emotional support to clients


• Assisting with light domestic tasks to ensure a clean and safe environment


• Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals


• Maintaining accurate records of care provided using IT systems


• Driving clients to appointments or activities when required (if qualified)

Qualifications

• Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal


• Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes


• Minimum of 6 month previous experience in a care home or home care setting is mandatory


• Valid driving licence is desirable for supporting clients outside the care setting


• Ability to work flexibly and compassionately with diverse client needs


• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Pay: £12\.71\-£23\.13 per hour
