Company Overview
Trinity Court patients have a diverse population and use a multidisciplinary approach bringing together five Partners, seven salaried GPs, a Practice Nurse and HCA Team and Clinical Pharmacists.
We are a training practice, with a strong ethos of training registrars as well as teaching and developing staff. .
The practice achieves high QoF scores and are commissioned to provide a range of enhanced services.
Summary
We are looking for a HCA to join our friendly established team at a lovely practice in Stratford upon Avon.
Must have experience of working in General Practice and hold an NVQ 3 in health and social care. Please do not apply unless you hold this qualification
Working under the direct supervision of the Nurse manager and strictly in accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols, the healthcare assistant will assist the practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care.
Responsibilities
- New patient health checks
- ECG recording
- Phlebotomy
- Chaperoning
- Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs and nurses
- Sterilising, cleansing and maintenance of surgical equipment
- Vaccine and cold chain storage, monitoring and recording
- Surgical equipment and vaccine re\-stocking and stock rotation
- Clearing and re\-stocking consulting rooms
- Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions, including assisting GPs during the performance of minor operations
- Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patients health and well\-being
- Undertaking specific clinical activities for named patients that have been delegated and taught specifically in relation to that individual
- Helping to raise awareness of health and well\-being and how it can be promoted
- Assisting with the collection and collation of data on needs related to health and well\-being
- Proven experience or interest in healthcare support roles.
- Must have level 3 NVQ in health and social care and experience of working in a GP practice
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Valid driving license
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication.
- Compassionate, patient\-focused attitude.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Knowledge of care plans and home care practices is preferred.
- Flexibility to adapt to various responsibilities.
