Health Care Assistant

• To work as part of a team of Health Care Assistants, under the direction of the Nursing team.


• To provide quality person\-centred care to meet the needs of residents.


• To provide high standard services as specified in agreed care plans and to contribute to the continual review of resident’s needs.


• Ensures residents hygiene/personal care needs are maintained to the highest standards while always maintaining the resident’s dignity.


• Assists residents with eating and drinking in line with their nutrition needs.


• Enable and assist resident to access and use toilet facilities, participating in individual continence promotion programmes.


• Contribute to the movement and treatment of resident to maximise their physical comfort.


• Promote mobility of resident, supervising and assisting as necessary to ensure resident retains optimum mobility.

• QQI/FETAC Level 5 qualification in healthcare or relative experience in a similar environment.


• Practical experience in a caring capacity desired.


• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.


• Have a good level of the English language.


• Availability to work varied shift patterns days, nights \& weekends, across Monday to Sunday and be obliging to cover any sick leave.

Pay: From €32,752\.20 per year
