Austin Rose Care Home is looking for compassionate, caring and dedicated Care Assistants to join our friendly team.
As a Care Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting residents to live comfortable, fulfilling and independent lives. About the Role
As a Care Assistant, you will:
- Deliver high\-quality, person\-centred care that promotes residents' dignity, independence and wellbeing.
- Support residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting and mobility.
- Assist residents with eating, drinking and maintaining good nutrition and hydration.
- Build positive relationships with residents, their families and your colleagues.
- Encourage residents to take part in activities and maintain their independence wherever possible.
- Follow individual care plans and report any changes in residents' health or wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate care records and communicate effectively during handovers.
- Follow safeguarding, infection prevention and health and safety procedures at all times.
- Work collaboratively as part of a caring and supportive team.
- Help create a warm, welcoming and homely environment for every resident.
We're looking for someone who:
- Is kind, compassionate and genuinely passionate about caring for others.
- Has previous experience in a care setting (desirable, but not essential).
- Holds an NVQ Level 2 in Health \& Social Care or the Care Certificate (desirable, but not essential).
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Is reliable, professional and able to work flexibly.
- Is calm, patient and reassuring in a busy environment.
- Understands the importance of dignity, respect and person\-centred care.
- Is committed to learning, developing and providing the highest standards of care.
