Health Care Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team in Ilford. The successful candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring they receive high\-quality, personalised care. Duties

• Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility, ensuring their comfort and dignity are maintained


• Support the development and implementation of personalised care plans tailored to each individual’s needs


• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents and clients, fostering a positive environment


• Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals, adhering strictly to protocols


• Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and ensure all documentation complies with legal requirements


• Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery


• Support with light domestic tasks within care settings or clients’ homes to promote a safe and clean environment


• Drive or accompany residents on outings or appointments as required, ensuring their safety at all times

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate


• Good organisational skills with the ability to follow care plans accurately


• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with residents and colleagues


• Basic IT skills for maintaining electronic records and documentation


• Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills; ability to show empathy and patience in challenging situations


• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast\-paced environment
